COAL Prize 2021: Forests

Illustrations produced in response to the COAL Prize 2021 ‘Forests’ brief. Focusing on the impact of climate change on forest ecology and those at the forefront of conservation efforts. This work commemorates the conservation work of the late Homero Gómez González while celebrating monarch butterflies and their cultural significance. The large 178.2 x 84.1 cm triptych incorporates paper cutting, projection, lino printing and drawing.
